Hey there! I'm Hanna-Maari Latvala, a sprinter from Finland. I represent a club called Jyväskylän Kenttäurheilijat. Originally I am from the West Coast of Finland, from Kokkola. I have represented Finland in European Championships and World Championships, both indoors and outdoors.
By now, I have set my records in 11,30 on 100m and 22,98 on 200 metres. However, I am eager to exceed myself and thrive for higher grounds. I have a double Masters' Degree in Sport Sciences (specialization in Sport and Exercise Psychology) and since the studies are done for now, it gives me the freedom and possibility to concentrate on sports. My goal is to raise my level gradually towards Tokyo Olympics in 2020, where I aim to run in the final of the 200 metres. That is an ambitious goal for a sprinter who comes from a country as cold as Finland, but you need to dream big to win big!
